On Wednesday, I told you about Islamic paramilitary camps in the U.S. and Islamic leaders in American mosques exhorting their followers that democracy is evil and that American constitutional law needs to be overthrown and replaced with strict sharia law. If I had more time, I would tell you about other outrages, such as how Muslim FBI translators celebrated the carnage of 9/11 — right in their FBI offices!

If you’re wondering why such outrages are allowed to happen, the answer is simple: So many government officials are so concerned about appearing politically incorrect, are so concerned about being called “intolerant” or an “Islamophobe,” that they ignore or dismiss the daily threats that are right under their noses!

Members of Congress are getting pressured from Islamic organizations all the time. Some Members of Congress have told me they hear from groups like CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) more than they hear from the average American. I know it’s not because Americans are unconcerned — it’s just that too many wonder if they can really make a difference.

That’s why I founded ACT for America, to bring us together in a unified voice to make a difference. And that’s why I need to hear from you today.

How do we “persuade” such officials to overcome their timidity, do what’s right, and create public policies that enhance our security and protect us from Islamic fascism? Through the collective and powerful voice of the ACT for America citizen action network, that’s how! As the old saying goes, “if they won’t see the light, they need to feel the heat.”

  The good news is we now have committed allies in the halls of Congress! On September 10th, I spoke to several dozen Members of Congress behind closed doors. Afterwards, many of these congressmen and women came up to me, expressed their profound appreciation for what we are doing, and offered to work with us to fight the spread of Islamofascism. Congressman Zach Wamp gave a floor speech later that night and referred to my presentation in his message challenging Congress to take action.

• We will track the voting records and public statements of American elected officials. This information will enable us to design, produce and distribute voter information pamphlets for the 2008 election so that millions of voters will know how candidates and elected officials stand on issues important to America’s national security, Israel’s national security, and the threat of Islamic terrorism. Our elected officials will be far more responsive to our concerns when they know their positions and voting records will be published and they will be held accountable to “we the people.”
